Muddy Run Disc Golf Course is now open to the public. There are gold and silver tees for most holes, with a mix of open and wooded fairways. At 9,044 feet from the gold tees, and with a total elevation change of 690 feet, this course has every challenge an upper level player could want. Narrow fairways. Protected greens. Challenging footing. And risk/reward decisions on almost every hole.
For more information, check out detailed hole descriptions and a video walk-through here.

When there is a club event held at a Lancaster County course (with a monetary entry), the club requires a fee for each player. Some of the parks ask for a per player usage fee, which we use this to cover. Any extra, or the entire amount at the parks that do not require a fee, goes to the club to pay for course maintenance. The fee schedule is as follows:
entry <$4.99 = fee $0.50
entry $5.00-$24.99 = fee $1.00
entry >$25.00 = fee $2.00
Anyone may run an event in the area with club backing as long as they collect this fee. Contact Jon McDowell for more information.

The LAFS year-end picnic was yesterday. 30-40 disc enthusiasts got together to play disc golf, shoot minis, have a putting competition, toss the lid around, eat food, drink beer, and have a great time. Thanks to Loudmouth Linc for hosting and to everyone who helped out.
The 2015 LAFS Player of the Year trophy goes to Jon McDowell. This trophy goes to the winner of the Tuesday/Thursday league at Buchmiller and Roland. Jon took the #1 Gold tag while Bill Erdley took the #1 Silver.
It's now glow disc golf season in the LAFS area. We were at Overlook last week and will be at Buchmiller on Tuesday (10/20). Start time is 7:00 Tuesday. Watch the Facebook page for updates - we will be playing Ship Rock and Roland this fall too.
It's a tie! The LAFS 2015 Amateur of the Year (Handicap series champion) winner came down to a tie between Travis Dombach and Bill Geibel. Congratulations!
This year's handicap series was an incredible success for the club. We regularly had 30 or more players on Tuesday nights at Buchmiller, topping out with 40 last night for the finale. Thanks to everyone who came and to those who helped to run things week in and week out.
